Animal Channel @ Revolver - 28th Feb
Revolver….. Back with a Bang in 2009!
Dublin's coolest live music showcase Revolver, is back with a bang in 2009 @ Radio City Dublin on Sat 28th of February. This month Revolver in association with Becks Vier presents a headline performance from Concerto for Constantine, before they support Snow Patrol on their sold out gigs at the O2 in March. Support on the night will come from no less than three acts including The Aftermath, Animal Channel and Audio. Following the live sets, DJ Sinead Ni Mhordha from Phantom 105.2 will entertain the crowd with her own blend of alternative and Indie tracks. Plus a very special guest DJ TBA….
Concerto for Constantine burst onto the live scene in Dublin in 2008 and soon became one of those bands that were on everybody's lips. Made up of three musicians who have played with well known bands like The Frames, Bell X1, Idlewild and JJ72, a Concerto set is the ultimate combination of thumping drums, clever hooks and mass appeal. This appeal has led to the band being named as main support to Snow Patrol when the lads line out for two dates at the O2 in Dublin in March. Need we say more………
The Aftermath are the consummate Irish band, rarely off the road, bringing their unique blend of Pop Rock to punters from Malin head to Mizen head. With already two top 20 singles under their belts in 2008, 2009 is already shaping up to be a busy year with their new single "There's a darkness" due for release on February 6th. A sophomore album is to follow in late 2009 with former Cranberries man Noel Hogan already shaping demos. Don't miss this chance to see one of Ireland's truly great live acts live.
CLUB REVOLVER
As always Revolver in conjunction with its' media partners Phantom promises to deliver a new experience in live music and clubbing every month. Our aim is to provide a unique collaboration of fresh live sets and our favourite alternative club tracks, a rarity on the Dublin music scene.
After the live sets, Club Revolver featuring Sinead Ni Mhordha from Phantom 105.2 will entertain the masses until the wee hours. Sinead is now a regular on the Dublin club scene and her sets of indie, glam pop and rock and roll always leave the crowd hungry for more.0 Comments 285 days

The Channel Do.....New York - Week2
Week 2
Yeah so we realise that we're getting pretty crap at this already, drinking and sleeping and generally just gettin fat on the edible possiblities that new york throws in your face. im stuffed. and eating a bucket f fried chicken while i write this. unless your a horse, i dont think you can not feel a little wrong when your portion of food comes in bucket format.
most days have consisted of sleeping all day and drinking all night, were not wasting our time and feel really inspired by it all.
sorry, thats out of my system.
the blur that was week two consisted of a couple of jams in the studio, playing for our new gaelic team, astoria gaels, mean fiddlin, frequenting gilbeys, astoria parkin wit guitars, being shocked at how well conor lynch behaved himself and loads more that i cant think of right now.
lynch and enda bought some electric toothbrushes together. cute.
we got a new chair for the dinner table. $5 dollars from a homeless man on the way home from a night out. we gave him seven because of the levels of customer service he provided and because he offered free installation. we declined.
I got side tracked one night from the lads after our first game in gaelic park and ended up in woodside wit a few of the heads off the ga team. 10 free pints of guiness and no dinner later i felt fabulous and looked it too, still in my ga shorts on the long walk home!
davey scored a screamer of a goal in our match against armagh.while g, pickles and i all played a stormer on the bench. i reckon g performed the best though.
friday night was possibly one of the funniest nights on tour!
went for a few casual drinks in gilbeys after we went to see hancock ( hey handjob!) wit lynch cause he was goin the next mornin at 7. enda stayed in to pack and wax his legs. very smooth in fairness to him.
so a few casuals turned into a lock in in gilbeys till about 5 wit mike, the new bar man jim and our new adoptive mother mummsy fitz!
after mike wanted us out, lynch bailed home and we all headed to another lock in wit mike down the road in the oldest man pub in the world. couple of secret knocks and we were in, drinkin wit the oul lads till about 8. we all left seperately.
i arrived home to find g and dots cookin pork and garlic burgers for themselves off their tits, fresh from their stolen peaches fight and after breakin in to the house through the window after thom "gave them the key". funny stuff indeed.
poor thom didn get home that night. he did however get woken up by some police officer at some stage while he took a nap on his diner entrance step and arrived home at about 12. we all sat around the next day takin advantage of out new blockbusters acount and complaining about the pains of single ply toilet paper.
while walkin down 6ave in manhattan on friday night, an escalade drives by, window down, and the lovely young fella shouted out "niggas! you aint got shit!"
alright lads!
freddie makes our shit green.
al: thats an awful gay lighter he just gave ya isnt it
dots: yeah looks like somethin out of star trek
gaffo: yeah, a gay star trek, TO THE ANUS AND BEYOND!
peace and love and hefty pork burgers,

The Channel Do.....New York - Week1
Seo é an scéal!!
We have FULL intentions of doing this blog from start to finish but lets be honest here, Boys will be boys and some thai chicks have dicks so we'll take it day be day. starting at the start and finishing at the end!

Day 1
Monday 30th June
After celebrating/going nuts in the prime location of Temple Bar with the new champions of Europe that is Spain, 3 of us (Al, Dave, Eean) woke up 45 mins late and still locked! Good times though, "Espania Siempre" "Fernando Torrrrrrrr(lots more r's)es". After I rushed down to the others we left for the airport, with slighty anxiety of the possiblity of Monday morning M50 traffic but got there with some time to spare in the end. Mickey D's provided the breakfast and we provided the shit's and giggle's, mostly giggles, not much shit...until London.
We took a brief break from the giggles in Heathrow to do some serious ejestion. Shrimp cocktail bagels then followed in Bagel Street courtesy of Dave, while Frank "I want a muffin" Bruno wanted a muffin.
After some severe security action, where Dave enjoyed a pat down we got the gate. Minding our own business about to board, who shows up...the one and only Kim Catrell, slut skipped the line, little did she know we've seen her having sex on a chair on a bed.
Plane time.....what a plane, full of sexy stewardess' and fancy controllers in each seat that play games, make calls and read your credit card....Al broke his of course though, soon broke his free pen aswell. "Bam Bam, break"
......7 hours of sleeping/eating/playing who wants to be a millionaire later, we land in JFK, smoothest landing ever by good aul captain Howard Hugh-sie.
Customs and waiting on bags soon followed, after which we exited to meet José our limo driver! Not before the lads attracted some cops over with the guitar cases only to exchange phone no.'s and get some gig hotspots off Ben Gerbino(a cop/downright nice guy).
So black José and his white limo drove us around Astoria for 2 hours looking for our apartment until we decieded it was better to get a hotel for the night. as we left Astoria we got a phone call about out apartment and went to the agency to sort it out. A while later with huge Chinese portions and trips to the atm we eventually got into our apartment by about 10.30.
Myself and Al flaked out on his bed to sleep before Dave woke us up calling us "Fanny's ...mummble, mummble mummble...." and walking off... "Night Dave"

Day 2
Tuesday 1st July
So I woke up at 6 this mornin in my clothes and couldn go back to sleep! went down to get breakfast for the lads about 8 and found our local bum, a severly overweight, over clothed, overhaired black man sweating away to his hearts content on the side of the road. eventually the lads got up after i watched the same news for about 2 hours. milk prices are at an all time high and theres only 30 white striped siberian tigers left in the world. fact. we headed into manhattan on the train at bout ten and spent the whole day in awe of how incredible this fuckin place is! seriously unbelievable! done a bitta shoppin, bitta hot doggin, bitta chillin in central park and tons of walkin!
the amount of stuff you see in this place is incredible!
Dave: Your one back there has her gee out!
Eean: what? where? can we go back and have a look?
she was a crazy black former craic whore, well worth a venture back!
We found eddie rockets! except it was johnny rockets! madness, i know!
We seen a bitta touristy stuff, bitta "nigga, you betta give me that 3 dolla!", bitta super friendly police men conversations, bitta melting, bitta jamba juice, bitta gettin served without i.d, bitta gaffo gettin hit on by the bad guy in home alone, bitta discount seinfeld, bitta rapin levis, bitta nerf ball action, bitta banter all in all!
And now were here, at home, drinking a few hollandia and listening to foals and dave playin our new guitar we just bought for $505 Comments 512 days
