- I wrote this story for an english essay in second year. Its based on a true event, when on the first christmas of World War 1, an unoffical truce was called, and for a day, the soldiers on both sides forgot their differences and celebrated their lives.
The day after, the war resumed as normal.
I dedicate the story to my grandpa, who died last summer. He acted as an unarmed medic in world war two, tending to soldiers on boths sides throughout the war.

Jimmie Oliver91 weeks agoHey fellow-author,
If you are a self-respecting bookworm, then you could do a lot worse than read through extracts of my new book on www.bebo.com/JadedGoodie The 288-page publication can be ordered from Amazon or Waterstones and is due out at the beginning of March.
Best wishes to you -
